Giannis Kostikiadis
Strength & Conditioning Trainer
Giannis demonstrated athletic talent early, beginning table tennis at age 6 as an ATP player with AO Kavala. He transitioned to classical sports at 10, accumulating several Panhellenic and Pancyprian victories across a 17-year athletic career. He competed nationally in Greece (1998-99) and Cyprus (2001-2005) in 110m hurdles, 400m hurdles, and 4x400m relay, achieving third place in the 400m hurdles at the 2005 small European countries championship.
He earned his degree from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 2005, specializing in Training in Classical Street Sports. In 2015, he completed postgraduate studies with specialization in Special Training in Jumping Sports.
His professional experience includes serving as Head of Spectator Service at the 2004 Olympics and Paralympic Games, and working as a strength and conditioning trainer since 2005, overseeing high-level athletes who have achieved more than 10 global and pan-European titles.
He has also worked as a personal trainer, gym trainer at a 5-star Athens hotel, and classical sports instructor at Campion English-speaking school. Since 2016, he has been a Base Training instructor, and since 2018, a federal fitness coach for the Pan-Hellenic Federation of Mixed Martial Arts. He has published international conference papers and scientific journal articles in classical sports and martial arts.
