This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Base Training Academy (the "Academy", "we") collects through basetraining.org, why we use it and what rights you have under the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Greek law 4624/2019.

2. What data we collect
- Contact and enquiry forms: your name, email, phone number, your message and the programme you are interested in.
- Registration form: your name (also in Latin characters), email, address and any supporting documents you choose to attach (for example a copy of a degree or ID).
- Newsletter: your email address.
- Browsing data: IP address, device and browser type, pages visited, through cookies and similar technologies, only with your consent (see section 7).
3. Purposes and legal basis
- Responding to your enquiries and informing you about programmes (steps prior to entering into a contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, and our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us).
- Enrolment and participation in training programmes, issuing attendance certificates and diplomas (performance of a contract, Art. 6(1)(b)).
- Tax and accounting obligations (legal obligation, Art. 6(1)(c)).
- Sending newsletters and updates (consent, Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time via the unsubscribe link in every message or by emailing us.
- Traffic statistics and website improvement (consent given through the cookie settings).
4. Recipients
Your data is processed only by authorised Academy staff and by the following categories of service providers acting as processors on our behalf: website hosting and security (Cloudflare), transactional email delivery (Resend), Google analytics and advertising tools (Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics) when you have accepted the relevant cookies, and YouTube for embedded videos. We never sell or rent personal data.
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Such transfers rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
5. Retention
- Contact and enquiry messages: up to 24 months after the last contact.
- Registration details and training records: for the duration of the training relationship and afterwards for as long as tax law requires or as needed to reissue certificates.
- Newsletter: until you withdraw your consent.
- Browsing data: according to the lifetime of each cookie, as described in the cookie settings.
6. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal. To exercise your rights, email [email protected]. We reply within one month. You may also lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (www.dpa.gr).
7. Cookies
The website uses strictly necessary cookies, plus analytics and marketing cookies that are activated only with your consent. You can change your choices at any time via the "Cookies" link at the bottom of every page.
8. Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures (encrypted HTTPS connection, restricted access, secure file storage) to protect your data from unauthorised access, loss or alteration.
9. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is published on this page together with the date of the last update.
